In a shocking case of counterfeit currency production, police have arrested two brothers accused of running a fake note printing operation for nearly four years using advanced engineering techniques and digital equipment. The accused allegedly produced counterfeit Indian currency from a hidden setup inside their residence, raising serious concerns about the misuse of technical knowledge for illegal activities.
According to investigators, the brothers used high-resolution printers, graphic design software, specialized paper, and precision color-matching methods to create fake currency notes that closely resembled genuine Indian notes. Police officials stated that the duo’s engineering background helped them understand printing patterns, note dimensions, and security-like features, making the fake notes difficult to identify at first glance.
The racket reportedly came to light after local traders and shopkeepers raised suspicion about several notes circulating in the market. Following a detailed investigation and surveillance operation, police conducted a raid at the accused’s premises and recovered fake currency, computers, printers, inks, and other equipment used in the operation.
Officials revealed that the brothers had allegedly been supplying counterfeit notes through local contacts and small transactions to avoid detection. Authorities are now investigating whether more individuals were involved in distributing the fake currency network across nearby districts.
Police have registered multiple charges against the accused under counterfeit currency and fraud-related laws. Further investigation is underway to determine the total amount of fake currency circulated and possible links to larger criminal networks.
